During his Red Dead Redemption stream on January 7, 2025, Darren "IShowSpeed" became very upset with his viewers after losing all his in-game money during a quest they had encouraged him to undertake. The quest is the encounter at the Aberdeen Pig Farm, where two NPCs rob the player's character, Arthur Morgan.
While it is possible to recover the money, like many first-time players, IShowSpeed was shocked by the loss. His frustration escalated during the cutscene of Arthur passing out, and he ended up shouting:
"No, Arthur, I didn't say yes! No, no! I did not say yes. No, no, no!"
The YouTube star then blamed his viewers for making him do the quest, which caused him to lose more than $4,000 in-game money. He even paused the game and seemed ready to quit the marathon, saying:
"Why did you all tell me to come here? Hell no, ain't no f**king way. Ain't no f**king way. Why the f**k would you all tell me to come here? Bro, oh my f**king god! Why would you all tell me to coming here? They took all my sh*t!"
"They got him good lmao": Viewers react to IShowSpeed getting mad after losing his in-game money in Red Dead Redemption 2
The Red Dead Redemption 2 quest is designed to give players a taste of betrayal, as the couple in the quest drugs and robs them. As mentioned earlier, however, the money is not permanently lost, and IShowSpeed could easily reclaim it by returning to the house.
However, his reaction has entertained many of his fans, with some noting how well his audience had trolled him.
"They got him good lmao. Don't trust the internet," wrote @Gruthum.
Others said IShowSpeed's fans love trolling him and seeing him rage on stream.
"His fans favorite thing to do is rage bait him LMAO," claimed @nando17celtics.
Some felt sorry for him but acknowledged the humor in the situation.
"I feel bad when chat trolls him but it's just too good lol," said @dr3amzbtw.
One X user even said they liked the streamer's honest reaction to losing all of his in-game money and claimed it was better than Kai Cenat's:
"This is why I like Speed better then Kai, his reactions are more original," stated @spinznah.
IShowSpeed's Red Dead Redemption 2 marathon started on January 6, 2025, and has already crossed the 30-hour mark. It will continue until the streamer has completed the whole game in one sitting.
