YouTube star Darren "IShowSpeed" has gone viral on social media after reacting to a fan's controversial antics. IShowSpeed was browsing submissions on his official Discord server during a livestream on November 3, 2024. At one point, he came across a video of a fan impersonating him in blackface and posing alongside a sculpture of a goat.
The video then transitioned to the Ohio native's viral photo with Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
For those unaware, IShowSpeed took the internet by storm in June 2023 when he finally met his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, in person during the Portugal vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina UEFA Euro Qualifier. As of this writing, the streamer's Instagram post with Ronaldo has received over 15.9 million likes.
IShowSpeed was taken aback after watching his fan's actions. Expressing his dissatisfaction, the YouTube streamer exclaimed:
"What the hell? What is he doing? What the f**k?! Oh, f**k no! Oh, hell no! What the f**k is he doing?! The f**k! Oh, hell no! What the hell? Hell no! Oh, hell no! Hell no, chat! Hell to the no! Hell no! Who is it?"
The content creator then asked his live audience for the identity of the person who made the video:
"Who is this? Who made this video? Who made this video?! Oh, no! And you're messing up my green screen! Who made this video? Oh, hell nah! Hell nah! What's his name (The streamer reads out loud the fan's Instagram handle)?"
IShowSpeed confronts the fan who impersonated him in blackface
As the livestream continued, IShowSpeed decided to confront the fan who had impersonated him in blackface. After discovering the latter's supposed Instagram account, the 19-year-old sent him a direct message, saying:
"All right. Watch this, chat. Watch this. Chat, let's send this dude a message, bro. Wait, let me not leak anything. Chat, let's send this dude a message... I'm going to be like, 'Yo, bro! We got to talk! We got to talk, bro!' That's all I'm going to say. I said, 'Yo, bro! We got to talk.' And he better text me back. (The streamer says the fan's Instagram account name out loud), you better text me back!"

Last month, on October 13, 2024, IShowSpeed made headlines when Twitch streamer Nicholas "Nick Eh 30" banned him from his custom Fortnite games after the YouTuber used the N-word live on stream.
