Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed took 57 hours to complete their Fortnite marathon after they voided one of their wins due to stream snipers
On December 27 before getting into their first Fortnite match, both Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed had warned viewers against stream sniping. For those unaware, stream sniping is a frowned-upon practice, where viewers, who are watching a broadcast, intentionally sabotage a content creator's online game.
Since the streamers were freely broadcasting their gameplay online, stream snipers could easily find and locate them on the map, giving them an undue advantage over the content creators. While most stream snipers tend to disrupt gameplay, Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed got help from a couple of players during their 80th attempt about 20 hours into their stream.
Because the two had gotten help from stream snipers, the content creators decided to continue their challenge of getting a Fortnite win without any help. IShowSpeed even asked the popular app Ben The Dog if they should redo the challenge.
Many fans started criticizing Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed after the stream crossed the 48-hour mark without a valid win, with some raising concerns about the streamers' Fortnite skills. That said, viewers did not have to wait for New Year's to see the marathon end as the streamers managed to get a legitimate win after 206 failed attempts.
