IShowSpeed pranks Kai Cenat by faking in-game death during Hardcore Minecraft marathon

YouTube star Darren "IShowSpeed" decided to prank fellow Twitch streamer Kai Cenat during their ongoing Hardcore Minecraft Marathon. As their stream ran into connection issues, Speed's cameraman Slipz stepped in to troubleshoot the issue on both the creator's computers. To those unaware, the two creators are currently staying under one roof for the special broadcast.

As Cenat was away from his PC and Slipz had taken the helm instead, IShowSpeed had been completing tasks such as collecting food within their shared world without Cenat being present. However, it was then that the 19-year-old decided to play a practical joke on Cenat, quickly switching their shared world to a newly created one and dying in-game on purpose by drowning in water.

As expected, Cenat was not ecstatic about what he believed to be yet another progress reset, their 32nd at the time. He stormed Speed's room and hurled two chairs across it, exclaiming:

"Don't tell me you died, bro! Did you just f**king die, bro?"

As Kai Cenat was away from his PC and Speed was busy foraging for food, the latter was struck by the idea of the prank, which he could be seen carrying out in his broadcast of the marathon on YouTube. IShowSpeed could be seen quickly exiting the Minecraft world he shares with Kai Cenat, creating a fresh new hardcore mode world, and entering it instead.

The streamer decided to also include his audience in the joke, asking them to spam that he had "died" in-game so that Kai Cenat would consider it more authentic. He said:

"Everybody say 'Speed died'! Everybody say 'Speed died'!"

As Cenat seemingly watched Speed's stream on his PC, the latter acted as if he was surrounded by monsters in a water body. In reality, he had been purposefully attempting to drown himself. He soon succeeded after running out of air underwater and eventually losing all his health.

As Kai saw what he thought was yet another in-game death and a subsequent reset of their shared world, he expressed his dissatisfaction towards IShowSpeed, stating:

"F**k! Why would you play? Why? Why?! Why would you f**king play?... You just drowned?"

However, Cenat soon caught on and stated:

"It's a prank. You're pranking me. You're pranking me. It's got to be a prank."

IShowSpeed is not the only one carrying out pranks between the two, with Kai Cenat also returning the favor at times. One such instance took place when Cenat woke up earlier than IShowSpeed and decided to wake him up by pouring water over him.
