YouTube streamer Darren "IShowSpeed" is no stranger to making peculiar conversations with strangers. For those unaware, he is currently engaged in a brand new IRL tour through Central and South America. His latest destination was Guatemala during which he had multiple run-ins with fans, locals, and other tourists.
One particular interaction went viral yesterday (January 14, 2025) after he met with a couple of Egyptian women during the IRL stream, who were curious about the large gathering behind the streamer. Much in line with his comical antics, Darren introduced himself as Marcus Rashford, the English winger for Manchester United:
"Yeah, I'm a football player...Manchester United. (The girls proceed to take selfies) Oh, you're from Egypt? Mohammed Salah? We just had a game against him. (The girls ask him his name) Marcus. Marcus Rashford...yeah, we just went against Mohammed Salah. We won though."

"You wanna come to one of my games? We are actually giving away tickets. Yeah, just put your number in. I am giving away free tickets to Manchester United games."
Has IShowSpeed met Marcus Rashford before?
YouTube streamer IShowSpeed has been a passionate Manchester United fan since he began following the team, mainly because his favorite player, Cristiano Ronaldo, was more recently part of the squad from 2021 to 2023.
The streamer was present at the stadium in May 2024 to cheer for Manchester United, who triumphed over derby rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup final. Surprisingly, he was later invited to the after-party with the players and staff.
At the event, the streamer met several Manchester United players, including Marcus Rashford, who had also played in the final. The streamer was seen chatting with Rashford. Here's the clip.
For those wondering how he received the invite, it was extended by Alejandro Garnacho's brother, Roberto Garnacho (@garna1k), a Twitch streamer. The two even interacted on stream a couple of times before their meeting.
IShowSpeed is embarking on his first IRL tour of the year, visiting various countries across South America, including Argentina, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Panama, Uruguay, and Paraguay. Having already streamed an IRL event in Brazil earlier in 2024, the country is notably absent from his itinerary this time around.
