Popular YouTube streamer IShowSpeed's ongoing 24-hour backflip world record challenge came to a disappointing pause after his legs gave out around the first 461 backflip mark. Fortunately, less than four hours had passed by then, allowing the streamer to rest and he assured his viewers that after a nap he would be going straight back to finishing the challenge if his legs recovered.

For context, IShowSpeed is in the process of trying to break the record set by Nico Scheicher in 2019 where the Austrian did 1,001 backflips within 24 hours.

The YouTuber had been making swift progress, almost reaching the halfway mark in only a couple of hours. However, disaster struck when the 19-year-old streamer's legs started giving him grief after he did around 440 backflips.

When he attempted the 441st flip, IShowSpeed fell awkwardly and revealed that he had hurt himself:

"See I knew it, oh f**k that hurt. Oh sh*t, oh my god no my body can't do it. Oh my god my body, don't do this to me my body. Don't say GGs like that, no this can't be GGs."

After forcing himself to do a dozen more backflips, the streamer seemed out of his depth and almost started crying because his body wouldn't allow him to continue:

"No, bro, no! What do I do? F**k, bro!"

"I am taking a huge gamble": IShowSpeed decided to go to sleep after completing 461 backflips

After squeezing in some more backflips to reach the 461 mark, IShowSpeed could not continue and decided to nap. He was unsure whether he could beat the challenge and revealed to his audience how he was taking a big chance by going to sleep:

"Chat, I am not going to lie, I am taking a huge gamble right now. When I wake up, and I am just scared when I wake up my legs will be locked."

The streamer was afraid that there was a possibility his legs would be locked when he woke up from his nap, which would surely mean that he would lose the 24-hour backflip world record challenge:

"So if I wake up and my legs are locked, that's GGs chat. This challenge is over with. I am taking a huge risk. I know I will be sore when I wake up, I really hope it's not locked. But right now, I can't even do a backflip so let's just hope."

Jake Paul had predicted something like this would happen and had even sent him a massage therapist to help relieve the built-up pain in his legs. However, it did not seem to work as IShowSpeed had to stop attempting backflips even before he reached the halfway mark of the world record.
