Pollo Castillo, aka Chicken Castle on YouTube, shared a clip on social media dated January 24, 2025, explaining what went wrong during Darren "IShowSpeed"'s IRL broadcast in Chile. For context, Chicken Castle was guiding the content creator during a stream on January 23, 2025, while they roamed the streets of the country.
However, IShowSpeed had to cut his Chile broadcast short when a few people started throwing fireworks at his car. The streamer was quite alarmed, especially because he had just learned that fireworks are banned in the country for non-commercial use.
In his latest video, Chicken Castle claimed that people had been following the group throughout their IRL stream and even threw glass at them. It's worth noting that the YouTuber spoke in Spanish, and the translation is from the English captions in the clip shared by X user @IShowSpeedHQ.
Chicken Castle said:
"The motorcycles were following us wherever were going, they got closer, they were giving us sh*t. They had already thrown glass and we were scared, bro. My team was super scared."
He continued to recount other negative incidents during the broadcast, such as people fighting in the large crowds that had gathered around IShowSpeed, describing the experience as "rotten" and expressing that it made him want to cry:
"Suddenly we heard some rockets, dude. I swear because, I don't know bro, some idiots had grabbed each other in the back, I don't know. They started fighting in the middle of the crowd and some sh*t had happened. It was already rotten, dude it was rotten. I really wanted to cry."
IShowSpeed's Chilean guide says they got scared after a firework got in their van through a broken window
After discussing the experience the streamers had during the Chile broadcast, Chicken Castle shared his perspective on the moment that led to IShowSpeed ending his YouTube stream. He described how people tried to throw fireworks and eggs into their car:
"They started trying to throw eggs out the broken window, that's when they threw a rocket. Damn it, it wasn't a bullet. They threw a rocket from a firework, like one of the eggs that shoot that they shoot and that's when this guy says "green apple" and I was like, what else was I waiting for?"
The YouTuber then claimed a firework rocket entered their van:
"If I kept doing the stream, they would keep following us, which happened and it was like, f**king Chile, we ended up with a firework inside a van that they broke the glass with a rough one."
Despite the challenges, IShowSpeed had a notable moment during the Chile stream when he interacted with famous Chilean footballer Arturo Vidal, who even gifted him a Colo-Colo jersey.
