YouTube streamer Darren "IShowSpeed" visited Vietnam during his ongoing Southeast Asia tour. As of writing, the streamer has visited two other countries, namely Thailand and The Philippines, and, in six days and five livestreams, has gained over 900,000 subscribers — a personal milestone. The streamer is on track to achieving 30 million subscribers during the tour.
In Vietnam, Speed was swarmed by fans, who would often ask for autographs and hand him gifts. On one such occasion, while the streamer was in a car, he rolled down his window and saw a fan holding a very familiar photo.
The photo depicted the streamer standing in a suit, next to his father, when he was a child. This was followed by more pictures, leaving Speed confused as to how the fan obtained them:
"Why does this ni**a have a... What the f**k! Ni**a what is going on?! Why do you have baby pictures of me? What the f**k?... Yo Vietnam, what is happening? He just gave me baby... I don't even have these pictures".
Speed subsequently shifted locations and looked at a few cars from the Gumball 3000 rally.
Recapping IShowSpeed's first time streaming in Vietnam
Speed had multiple viral moments in Vietnam, including strolling through the streets of Vietnam while trailed by a large crowd. The streamer was also approached by a fan who asked him to sign his chest. Instead of a typical autograph, Speed drew two circles on the latter's chest and followed it up by sketching a phallic symbol.
The streamer was constantly swarmed by supporters and had to shift to undisclosed locations to manage the overwhelming crowds.
The streamer embraced the country's traditional culture, wearing Vietnamese clothes and tasting local food.
Besides cultural refinery, Speed also enjoyed successful numbers and gained over 50,000 subscribers across a three-hour stream.
In other news, IShowSpeed was knocked out during a YouTube livestream while sparring with legendary boxer Manny Pacquiao in The Philippines.
