Popular streamer IShowSpeed recently thanked YouTube in a post on X, all but confirming that the ban on his channel has been lifted. The content creator could not go live over the last couple of days after his channel was reportedly flagged by the platform for dangerous activities.
While initial reports suggested that the streamer would not be able to broadcast for a couple of weeks at least, it seems YouTube has rescinded the temporary ban.
IShowSpeed took to his X community, Speed Gang, on August 8 and thanked the website:
"we’re back thank you youtube"
For those wondering when he will be back, the internet personality hinted at a comeback stream in a subsequent post:
"see u in a few days i’m spending time with family", wrote the YouTuber.
Why was IShowSpeed banned from YouTube in the first place?
IShowSpeed is one of the most popular streamers on YouTube and is known for his IRL content. However, a recent stunt he pulled on a livestream did not sit well with the website. For those unaware, earlier this month, the content creator went live on the platform and, in a relatively short broadcast, jumped over two separate moving sports cars. Clips from the incident naturally went viral.
Not only were the cars not stationary, but they were also moving with some speed toward the streamer, who took on the challenge head-on and even successfully jumped over his own custom CR7 Lamborghini. While this is not the first time he has jumped over a moving car, this is the first time he did it on YouTube.
Despite fellow content creators like NickEh30 claiming that he faked the stunt, by August 6, reports started coming out on social media, claiming that IShowSpeed's channel had been struck with a temporary ban for violating community guidelines regarding dangerous activities. Many speculated that the violation could end up being more than a week long.
However, it seems that the temporary ban has been lifted. As mentioned above, fans should not expect the streamer to go live for a couple of days as he is taking a break to spend time with his family.
