IShowSpeed tricks an old woman into calling him the "N-word" in Denmark

YouTube star Darren "IShowSpeed" went touring the streets of Copenhagen, Denmark during a live stream on July 18, 2024. During the broadcast, the streamer interacted with strangers in his typical fashion, walking up to them on the streets and chatting them up. This time, however, IShowSpeed had developed a specific method to use the Danish language to trick the country's residents into saying words sounding similar to the racial slur.

The Danish language has certain words, such as "Nikke" and "Nekka", which directly translate to "Nodding" and "Neck," respectively, in English. These Danish words, when spoken out loud, can often be confused for similar-sounding racial slurs.

Towards the end of his broadcast, the streamer could be seen going up to individuals and asking them to translate "nodding" in Danish for him. When he tried this very trick on an elderly lady he met on the street, she naively complied and fell into the creator's "trap".

IShowSpeed is known for his laughable moments with fans, often engaging in light-hearted "confrontations" with fans. His interaction with the elderly woman was in the same vein, with him jokingly accusing her of saying the "N-word" after she gave an accurate translation of the word "nodding", which sounds very similar to the racial slur.

After hearing the woman say the Danish word "Nikker" the creator then "confronted" her regarding the same, stating:

"See! What?! N***a! So, nodding in Danish is n***a!"

The woman could then be heard protesting that she did not mean to say the racial slur, and hilariously mentioning it all the same in the process. She said:

"Nikke! Not n***a! Nikke! No! No! Nikke! He knew that! You knew that! You put me up in a trap! You're naughty! You're naughty!"

The creator then stuck his tongue out while mocking the tone of the woman and simply walked away. He, unsurprisingly, did not stop there and went up to many other strangers to repeat the process. After a young fan said "Nikker", which is yet another Danish translation of the word "Nodding", the creator asked his mother to give him a "whooping".

After the woman permitted IShowSpeed to do it himself, the creator took numerous steps back and charged towards the fan. Stopping himself right before impact, Speed then shook hands with the fan before moving on.

The YouTuber had his fair share of fun experiences while visiting the country's capital, with him also leaping into the waters of the Nyhavn Canal. He did not simply jump into the water body and actually decided to do a backflip in the process, much to the excitement of fans present on the scene.
