After Spain beat England 2-1 in the final of the UEFA Euro championship, YouTube streamer Darren "IShowSpeed" engaged in some fun banter and light trolling by resharing KSI's post from a week ago. The two content creators are known for getting into arguments online due to differing views on football.
KSI was naturally supporting his home country of England in the UEFA Euros while the Cristiano Ronaldo-obsessed IShowSpeed had been rooting for his favorite national team, Portugal, in the tournament. The latter had even gone to watch Portugal play in the group stages and was heartbroken when they got knocked out by France in the quarter-finals.
At the time, KSI had trolled IShowSpeed by posting a picture of the American YouTuber in distress over Portugal's loss and in the caption had claimed England would win:
"Unfortunately mate, it's coming home"
Now that England has lost in the finals, IShowSpeed happily returned the favor by resharing that same post with a caption of laughing emojis.
Regardless of his rivalry with IShowSpeed, KSI and the 19-year-old YouTube streamer have been on friendly terms for years, and the two frequently collaborate on YouTube videos. Only a few weeks ago, both of them took part in MrBeast's wipeout challenge on IShowSpeed's livestream.
KSI traveled with the Sidemen to watch England play in the UEFA Euro finals and after they lost, insinuated Harry Kane should not have started in the match
IShowSpeed has been touring Europe since last month after he got a house in Germany to watch the UEFA Euros. While he IRL streamed from the stadiums for the first two Portugal fixtures in the group stage, the streamer could not get a spot during the knockout stages and had to watch the match from bars and pavilions.
On top of that, IShowSpeed has also been going around European countries and IRL streaming from the streets of famous cities. A few days ago he was in Italy and collaborated with former AC Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
KSI, on the other hand, had not come to see any UEFA Euro matches until the final. Reportedly, he flew out his friends from the Sidemen group to watch England play in the final against Spain in Berlin and clips of them boarding a chartered flight from London started making rounds on social media with fans trolling KSI for potentially bringing bad luck to England by being present at the match.
The UEFA Euros finals concluded on Sunday, July 14 after Spean beat England 2-1 and naturally KSI and his fellow English friends were distraught. The YouTuber turned boxer had much to say about the loss, and retweeted one of his past posts on X where he had criticized Harry Kane, claiming that England would not win any tournaments until they did something about the player.
The post has gone viral, garnering over one million impressions on X within a matter of hours, with fans debating the validity of his statement about Harry Kane.
