YouTube star Darren "IShowSpeed" has taken the internet by storm after winning the Streamer of the Year award at The Streamer Awards 2024. For those unaware, the annual awards ceremony, hosted by Blaire "QTCinderella," aired on December 7, 2024.
The flagship award, Streamer of the Year, was presented at the end of the special event, and the following content creators were nominated for the category:
- IShowSpeed
- Kai Cenat
- Emiru
- Pirate Software
- Caedrel
IShowSpeed triumphed, winning the highly coveted title at The Streamer Awards 2024. After receiving the award, which was presented by Felix "xQc," the Ohio native thanked his management team, family, and the countries that allowed him to broadcast his content. He said:
"It's a crazy one! But look, I want to thank a lot of people. I want to thank my management team. I want to thank my team, my cameraman, my mom, my dad, the countries that allowed me to stream in them. I want to thank everybody. You know? This award means a lot to me. I really fell in love with this game of streaming. Streaming really allowed me to express myself in so many ways and just how who I am. You feel what I'm saying?"
After expressing his intention of "not stopping" his livestreaming content, IShowSpeed performed his iconic backflip before leaving the stage.
