During a recent livestream on YouTube, Twitch star IShowSpeed wished his fans on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, an auspicious festival of Islam. Broadcasting live from his car in the streets of Germany on June 16, 2024, the creator addressed his audience, apologizing for the lack of streams over the last few days.

The streamer then wished his fans "Eid Mubarak," appearing to incorrectly quote the festival. He stated:

"Chat, shout out to Eid Mubarak, y'all! Everybody say Eid Mubarak in the chat. Happy Eid Mubarak, you know what I'm saying?"

Darren "IShowSpeed" has expressed his interest in the Islamic faith before, with some speculating that the creator had wanted to accept the religion. For instance, the creator collaborated on a stream with Amin "Chunkz," who is a believer in Islam.

The stream took place in November 2022, and in it, Speed stated that he wanted to turn to the religion, and even asked Chunkz to help him "accept Islam." When Amin told him that it was "not a joke," Speed confirmed that he knew and that he was "serious." However, no further update was provided by the streamer.

Although Darren has discussed the prospect of becoming a follower of Islam, he has not confirmed doing so. The creator also claimed to have held a fast during the month of Ramadan in 2023, while some alleged that the streamer ended up breaking it. These allegations were denied by the creator at the time.

Speed has visited multiple predominantly Islamic countries as a tourist, including Qatar, Abu Dhabi, and Saudi Arabia. In his latest stream, Darren could be seen wishing his fans Eid Mubarak.

On another note, IShowSpeed recently made use of one of MrBeast's obstacle course sets for his stream. Accompanied by fellow YouTube star Olajide "KSI," the pair competed to reach the endpoint of the Wipeout-style obstacle course for a prize of $100,000.

It was Speed who eventually won, and in an act of charity, ended up donating $50,000 out of the prize money to Palestine relief to support those affected by the ongoing war.
