Twitch streamer Zack "Asmongold" has been known to express unfiltered comments on stream. From gaming to world politics, fans tune in to hear Asmon's takes on various subjects. On one occasion, the streamer found himself in trouble after making certain remarks about the Israel-Palestine conflict that some viewers deemed dismissive and ignorant.

Essentially, Asmongold used the term "Palestinians" interchangeably with "religious fanatics or terrorists," and this caused a severe backlash, ultimately leading to a suspension from Twitch. In his response video on YouTube, the streamer expressed that the suspension was a long time coming and that he would take this time off to become "more positive."

On October 30, 2024, after a two-week ban, Asmongold returned to streaming, and in his stream back, he shared a few lessons he learned during his time away with his audience.

"It gave me a chance to actually sit down and think about what I [am] doing with my f**king life. What the f**k am I doing?"

The streamer acknowledged that his ban was entirely fair, explaining it resulted from a clear breach of Twitch’s Terms of Service. He also addressed criticism from some who claimed he had "bent the knee" to the so-called "woke mob," pushing back on those characterizations and clarifying his perspective.

"Asmon bent the kee": Asmongold discusses the people claiming he folded under pressure

It would seem the streamer took this time off to self-improve. Firstly, he announced that he would be cleaning up his house, which was unheard of, especially considering the messy house was a part of the Asmongold brand.

"People are like, Asmon bent the knee... The funny thing about this is... I think that this is the first time I didn't bend the knee, because I feel like there have been a lot of circumstances in the past year, two years where I have let my ego, I have let my desire to be, like, right... I've let all of those things take control of me."

To sum it up, Asmon responded to claims he “bent the knee,” saying this recent situation was one of the few times he hadn’t. Reflecting on the past year, he admitted that ego and the desire to be right had often influenced his actions but not in this instance.
