"It's not a disability to be gay" - Twitch streamer Squeex regrets making a questionable comment on livestream

Popular Twitch streamer Squeex has garnered attention on social media after making a rather questionable comment on a livestream. Earlier today (September 23, 2024), the content creator was reacting to viral clips from the recently concluded TwitchCon 2024 in San Diego. At one point, Squeex's attention was drawn to a live viewer, who inquired whether being bald is considered a "disability".

In response, the Twitch streamer stated:

"'Squeex, do you think being bald is a disability?' What do you think the 'B' stands for in LGBT?"

Moments later, the Super Mario 64 speedrunner realized what he said and immediately regretted the statement. While apologizing for his comments, Squeex clarified that he "misspoke":

"Wait! I'm sorry! I'm so tired! I thought that was something else! Can we restart? No, obviously, I'm pro-gay! I'm pro-LGBT! No, it's not a disability to be gay! Obviously! What I'm trying to say is... I f**ked up. Obviously, it's not. In fact, I love gays so much, I hate straights. Can I... am I overcompensating? I've got to go. Oh, god! Oh, no! Did I overcompensate? Yo, I'm back. Sorry about that, I misspoke."

Twitch Streamer Squeex once joked about MrBeast "not using pedophiles for one video"

This is not the first time Squeex has gone viral on social media. On August 20, 2024, he collaborated with Streamer Awards host Blaire "QTCinderella," for an IRL livestream. At one point, the latter addressed viewers' criticisms that she did not hire a production for an event, to which Squeex responded by making a joke about Jimmy "MrBeast."

While making a lighthearted remark on allegations made against MrBeast, Squeex said:

"Who are we? MrBeast? I know. I shouldn't have. 'Hey, guys, MrBeast here. We're about to go for a crazy challenge. I'm going to be using no pedophiles for one video, and it's going to get even crazier. You know, in the end, we're going to use non-union workers. It's about to be crazy! So, smash that like button!'"
