Minecraft YouTuber Clay "Dream" recently talked about his sharing of a meme that makes use of the ableist R-word against TommyInnit's fanbase. This meme was shared by Dream in light of the recent feud between fellow Minecraft YouTuber Thomas "TommyInnit" and Kick streamer Felix "xQc".

In a now-deleted Reddit comment made by Dream on r/DreamWasTaken2, he claimed that he was confused about the "rules" regarding the use of the word, and made a reference to his previous drama with Nickelodeon star and The Amazing World of Gumball voice actor Nicolas Cantu:

"Genuinely still confused on what the "rules" are. Honestly, not trying to be obtuse, multiple people go viral calling me the r word and everyone explains that it's okay because they're neurodivergent, so then I see a meme that uses it and post it and get absolutely throttled for it. Obviously it's the internet being disingenuous, but that doesn't completely invalidate anyone that might be upset by it."

"He has absolutely no back bone": Dream slams TommyInnit for being the "internet police"

Posts from the youtubedrama community on Reddit

The controversial meme was shared by Dream as a reaction to the back and forth between xQc and Tommyinnit, in which the latter labeled the Canadian streamer "cringe". xQc responded stating that TommyInnit went from "d*ckriding" Dream" to making "jokes to teenage girls."

The meme depicted a choice for a "Dream SMP Stan", with them either growing up" or becoming a "r*tarded" TommyInnit fan. After this meme went viral online, many users expressed their disapproval of the R-word being used by Dream in his meme.

In his now-deleted Reddit response to the controversy, the Minecraft YouTuber had accused individuals who are currently calling him "ableist" of being the same who "lit off fireworks" when Nicolas Cantu was using slurs:

"Most of the people calling me ableist for using it are the same people that lit off fireworks when Nicolas Cantu was the slur slinging slasher (including Tommy's closest friends). It's either okay or it's not okay, the double standards are infuriating. I have my own reasons for having a problem with Tommy going around being the 'internet police'"

The YouTuber also clarified that he was attempting to take a "dig" at fans of TommyInnit, but did not mean to be "ableist". Accusing TommyInnit of feeding into "lies" made by ex-Dream SMP fans, he wrote:

"Obviously I had no intentions at attacking every Dream SMP fan, or being ableist Imao. It was a dig at Tommy fans, because somehow the worst of the worst of the ex dream smp stans have congregated all to make up lies and sh** on other creators, and Tommy feeds right into it to promote his patreon, shows, book, or whatever else he's currently promoting, because he has absolutely no back bone."

This is not the only feud TommyInnit has been involved in recently, with him and OTK member Matthew "Mizkif" also going off at each other over the past few days. The drama between the two began after TommyInnit called Mizkif "socially inept" and named him the "worst person" he's ever met.
