"It's unbelievable": xQc reacts to getting backlash for criticizing Mizkif's partnership with gambling sponsor DraftKings

Popular Twitch and Kick streamer xQc is speaking out against viewers and the rest of the community for getting backlash over his comments regarding Mizkif accepting a gambling sponsorship. The Canadian streamer is known for defending gambling streams online.

For context, others such as Kick streamer Los Pollos have also called out Twitch creator Mizkif after the latter accepted sponsorship from DraftKings despite being heavily critical of gambling in the past.

xQc also briefly addressed it on stream and a clip from his more recent broadcast talking about getting backlash from viewers has gone viral on social media.

In the short clip, the streamer can be seen venting about the situation to fellow Kick streamer Trainwreckstv. The Canadian streamer had this to say about getting admonished for his comments on Mizkif:

"That sh*t fosters so much hate, it's unbelievable. They are mad that I called out the Mizkif sponsor thing, right? They buried the thread yesterday and they found any thing to hate me on today. They pulled it out, or whatever. Just to throw some bullsh*t. It's so L, it's unbelievable."

What did xQc say about Mizkif for partnering with DraftKings?

Gambling on stream is a highly polarizing topic online, with many popular content creators having clashed on the issue in the past. Back in 2023, Twitch passed several guidelines and rules limiting gambling sponsorships on its website after a big push from various streamers such as Mizkif and Pokimane.

Last week, xQc came across a post about Twitch creator Mizkif having partnered with the American gambling company DraftKings and mocked the Twitch streamer for seemingly going back on his words about the promotion of gambling content.

In the clip, the Canadian streamer can be heard saying:

"It's not even a joke at Miz. It's just the fact that it's like it was a scripted story. Twitch bans Stake as anti-gambling. Amazon takes a DraftKings partnership. The person (Mizkif) that was at the forefront of the anti-gamba now promotes DraftKings, the Amazon-licensed gambling thing. You cannot script this."

xQc has been a staunch supporter of gambling streams and sponsorships for a while, and earlier this year had called out his critics for giving him grief about his views as well.
