Independent English-speaking VTuber Camila had a rather scary moment during her stream yesterday (November 1, 2024). While interacting with her audience, she was alerted by a thud from one of her windows. Naturally, this was quite a strange moment for her. Initially, she thought it was only a prank. Later, it was found that the individual was trying to break in.
"Someone during the evil stream yesterday knocked on my window and then went away so I assumed it was nothing but turns out it wasn't nothing because someone tried breaking into my home during my stream just now."
The VTuber made an additional post earlier today (November 2, 2024) where she explained that the cops hinted the person could be a stalker since he only interacted when she was livestreaming.
"Considering the person only ever interacted was when I was live makes him believe it was a stalker. He also said the guy kept repeating 'She's my friend, it's okay'."
Watch: VTuber Camila alerted by individual trying to break into her house
VTuber Camila, who currently has over 211K followers on her Twitch channel, experienced quite a scare during her November 1 stream. While chatting with her fans, she was startled by a sudden loud bang that echoed during the stream.
That disturbance was caused by a stranger attempting to break into her house, which raised concerns about a potential stalker. Watch the concerning clip here:
A clip of this incident was also shared on the popular r/LivestreamFail subreddit, garnering various reactions from users there. One wrote:
"That's some pretty messed up sh*t. Hope that dude is sufficiently dealt with," said u/giantpunda
Another was critical of the authorities, stating:
"They'll wait until something irreversible happens and say they did everything they could. F**k the cops," said u/f**ktheitinerary
Here are a couple of more reactions from the thread:
"Guy probably went around knocking on windows and checking the stream to see which house she would respond to. Extremely creepy," said u/HachimansGhost
"I hope she’s ok. Vtubers have enough problems as is with Twitch/YouTube moderation," said u/G00b3rb0y
VTuber Camila encountered a similar situation a day before the November 1 incident. During her stream, she heard a faint knocking on her window. It's unclear whether this was the same person who attempted to break in later.
