Twitch and Kick star Felix "xQc" has shared his thoughts on Kai Cenat's opinions on X Communities' negative impact on streamers. On January 2, 2025, a video from Cenat's recent livestream surfaced on X, in which he commented on the "toxic" nature of content creator communities on Elon Musk's social media platform.
Claiming that the removal of X Communities would be "one step closer" to positivity, the New Yorker stated:
"2021, 2020, 2022, Twitter was not like this, bro. That's why I be off on that motherf**ker. I don't be on that b**ch. Twitter was not like this. Let me tell you the downfall that's going to affect streaming, too. Communities, bruh... Communities is the most toxic s**t on the planet Earth. Like, it's the most toxic s**t within Twitter. If they remove that, that's one step closer to a more positive space. It's not going to be positive at all, but it's one step closer. Gang, Communities are so toxic, it is actually bad."
xQc reacted to Cenat's opinions on X Communities on the same day. According to the former Overwatch pro, content creators "weaponize" online communities in the early stages of their careers. However, once they reach the top, they face the "negative effects" and advise their fans to stop doing what they used to.
While claiming that his comments were not directed at Cenat, xQc remarked:
"Hey, if you're a creator, and the shoe f**king fits, okay, then you can wear the f**king shoe. Okay? It's the mother suckers that are on the way up, they benefit from the f**king dogs**t weaponized a** crack community s**t, and they go out blasting, 'Hey, f**k this guy! F**k everybody! F**k the world! F**k this s**t!' On the way up and when they're at the top, 'Oh, guys, no! No, don't do that!' When they get the negative effects. It's f**king weird."
xQc went on to say that a "true man" always does "the right thing":
"It takes a true man to do the right thing always, not just when you benefit, but also when you lose. When you lose and you benefit. Hey, it is what it is."
"I did it right" - xQc claims he had the "most moderated" X Community while commenting on Kai Cenat's opinions
While reacting to Kai Cenat's aforementioned video, xQc claimed to have the "tightest" and "most moderated" X Community. He elaborated:
"We've had the tightest community, with the most moderated one out of all of them. The rules were set off to rip. The rules on our comm (community) were insanely strict from the get-go! People get slapped left and right, perma-banned for the things that are out of line, there's no doxing, no weird s**t anywhere on it! Don't say, 'Says you.' I did it right and I'm not going to f**king hear this s**t!"
As of this writing, Kai Cenat has not commented on xQc's response regarding X Communities and streamers.
