Controversial streaming personality, Jack Doherty, has received an unban on Kick, more than three months after he was banned from the Stake-backed platform, due to being involved in a controversial car crash. To those unaware, the streamer crashed his McLaren 2024 while broadcasting live on October 5, 2024, with him being seen using his phone, moments before the crash occurred.
Conversing with fellow Kick streamer Aaron "Ac7ionMan" soon after the ban, Doherty was heard claiming that he had received a "permanent" ban at the time. After being reinstated, the Kick streamer's page no longer has any VODs of his previous broadcasts. However, the streamer's popular clips are still available for viewing.
Jack Doherty gets reinstated on Kick months after ban from the platform
Jack Doherty is a content creator known for hosting IRL broadcasts, wherein he is often seen showcasing his extravagant lifestyle, including his mansion and cars. As such, the streamer was holding a broadcast on October 5, 2024, in which he was streaming himself, driving around in his McLaren 2024, which they had supposedly purchased for approximately $200,000.
Jack had been accompanied by a camera person, an individual named Michael, who was sitting in the passenger seat while Doherty had control of the steering wheel. Moments before the crash, Doherty was seen looking down at his phone, which he held in his right hand while using his left to steer the car, simultaneously.
After crashing the car into the guardrails on the side of the highway, the streamer was seen assessing damage and expressing concern for his now-totaled car. Jack did this instead of tending to Michael, who had been injured severely in the crash, with blood gushing down his face. Soon after clips of the incident went viral online, his behavior was called out by fellow Kick streamers at the time.
The streamer's reinstated Kick channel still holds a substantial portion of his fanbase, having 182,000 followers. Despite this, no official announcement has yet been made by Jack Doherty on Instagram or Threads regarding his return to the Stake-backed platform.
Recently, fellow Kick streamer Yousef "Fousey" was also involved in a car accident while driving his new Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato. The streamer seemingly crashed into a ladder, causing damage to his car's front grill. As disclosed by him, he had been attempting to upload an Instagram Story moments before the said crash.
