On September 5, 2024, former Jimmy "MrBeast" employee Jake Weddle took to Instagram to announce that he was "disappearing for a bit." He claimed that the past few days had been "incredibly difficult" for him because people were "discrediting and lying about him," adding that they were using his "trauma for clout."
In the next Instagram Story, Jake Weddle listed several allegations against the YouTube star, some of which were:
"Faking videos. Illegal lotteries. Illegal giveaways. SA (sexual assault) from multiple employees. Covering up all the SA. Hush money. Promoting gambling to kids. Hiding PDFs (an online term used to refer to pedophiles). Hiding PDFs. Jimmy was in the Discord and lied about. He loved that one poster... unsafe working conditions. Unethical business practices."
Weddle went on to say that the 26-year-old's philanthropy was "s**t" because it "makes no impact":
"His philanthropy is s**t. Makes no impact. And is basically money laundering. Don't believe me? Let's investigate! Let's get the police involved! Please? Pretty please?"
Weddle then suggested that MrBeast should be "jailed" if "half" of the allegations were "true":
"Let's say... half of that's true... that's enough. Jail. Wanna know my opinion? It's all true. And it gets worse. But again... what do I know? I was just there and let go for not going along with it. And you? You don't know anything but the lies you ate up like it was cholocate made by child slaves."
"Take me to court. I dare you" - Jake Weddle calls out MrBeast and says he needs to make a public statement
In a subsequent Instagram Story, Jake Weddle stated that he would not have "spilled all that tea" if he hadn't been harassed. He then called out MrBeast, asserting that he needed to make a public statement for the following reason:
"Sorry guys... wouldn't have spilled all that tea if I wasnt being harassed. Jimmy needs to make a public statement calling off everyone harassing whistleblowers and survivors. Calling of Keem."
While challenging the most subscribed YouTuber to send him a cease-and-desist notice and taking him to court, Weddle remarked:
"Send me a cease-and-desist. Take me to court. I dare you. Let's get the solitary footage public? Let's get it on the record? Let's get the police involved. Let's audit the MrBeast company and the shell companies. Viking (Jake The Viking) took his video down (I assume) because he named the shell company (rubber duck) by name. I bet, he got a call, 'take that down,' and he did. Like a good boy."
As of this writing, MrBeast has not responded to Jake Weddle's allegations.
