AMP member and Twitch streamer Duke Dennis took to his latest stream to shed light on a viral video that has been making the rounds. For those who missed it, the video depicts a younger Duke Dennis showing off his moves in the now-defunct app Musically. Duke, however, has refuted the entire video, claiming that it was made with AI (artificial intelligence).
"I want you to know that this is not a real video. This is not a real f**king video, this sh*t is the most AI video I have ever seen in my life. Look (plays the video). This is AI. I hope y'all see that. It looks like me but it doesn't look like me. We just need to take a minute and realize how dangerous and scary this AI sh*t is getting."
Duke's reaction was subsequently shared by the popular X.com troll account Ryan (@scubaryan_). Many of the reactions appeared skeptical of the streamer's explanation.
"Is Duke really saying this AI? I’m done…just say it’s your past and move on"
Here are some other reactions to the post:
Duke Dennis is not the first streamer to see an AI video of theirs
There is still considerable doubt among netizens about whether the viral Duke Dennis Musically video is real or AI-generated. And since Duke himself has claimed that it was AI, it's best to set aside any other theories for now.
However, when it comes to AI-made videos, Duke Dennis isn’t the first streamer to experience such content going viral. Another Twitch streamer, Flight23White (aka FlightReacts), recently lashed out at the creator of an AI-generated video that depicted him wearing makeup.
"Delete this fake weirdo sh*t or I'll strike your page ASAP. Quit posting make up videos."
IShowSpeed is another streamer who became the target of an AI-generated prank. The image portrayed him as being pregnant, which deeply offended the streamer
AI-generated content, while creative, has also sparked significant controversy in the past. For instance, Twitch streamer Brandon "Atrioc" inadvertently exposed one of his screens, revealing that he had been viewing AI-generated pornography featuring streamers like Imane "Pokimane" and Blaire "QTCinderella."
