Kai Cenat has announced that he and YouTube star Darren "IShowSpeed" are planning to do a special collaboration by playing the video game Chained Together on stream. The relatively simple adventure title is currently going viral on Steam, peaking at over 94K concurrent players (according to SteamDB) in the last week.

This is quite impressive, considering June saw the release of one of the most anticipated DLCs of all time, Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree, which Cenat has already finished in a marathon streaming session. Cenat is known for coming up with elaborate costumes and setup designs for his video game streams, and it appears he has a plan to make his collaboration with IShowSpeed special.

In his latest Twitch broadcast, Cenat explained that he is thinking about chaining himself to IShowSpeed while they stream Chained Together, just like the player characters in the game:

"Me and Speed will be doing Chained Up [sic] the game, me and Speed, and here is where it's going to get fire. I called Speed, I said let's find a date to do it. I think me and Speed should get a house, he's in a room, I am in a room. Two different PC setups, but we are strapped, we are chained together in real life."

Kai Cenat elaborates on his plans to chain himself to IShowSpeed to play Chained Together

Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed are very popular on their respective platforms, attaining massive success in recent years. The two friends collaborate frequently on the Rumble channel that they have together for the Speed 'N Kai Show. Both scored nominations for the Streamer of the Year Award at the 2024 Esports Awards.

Chained Together, the game the two streamers are set to play, is a fresh spin on the Only Up genre, where in addition to a single-player mode, multiple players must collaborate to navigate through an obstacle course and climb to the summit. As the name of the title implies, all player characters are chained together, forcing them to work hand in hand in their journey.

While various content creators have been playing Chained Together on stream, Kai Cenat's plan to stand out from the rest is to chain himself and IShowSpeed while streaming it:

"We are real-life Chained Together from one room to the other, okay? I am chained from my room, he is chained from the other room. Okay?"

This would mean that both IShowSpeed and Cenat would have to pull each other if they have to move or go to the bathroom:

"If I have to get up and I need to use the bathroom, he is going to get pulled. Basically, he would be able to pull me if he wanted to and I would be able to pull him."

It seems that the collaboration will also be a marathon stream, with both content creators playing the game till they beat it:

"But we will be trying to beat the game. We are going to try to beat the game and we can't get off, bro. (reading chat) 'L, slavery.' Oh, f*ck! Man it's not, eh!"

Readers should note that no concrete date has been fixed for the marathon stream, considering Kai Cenat is in the United States, and IShowSpeed has been traveling around Europe to watch the UEFA Euro 2024.
