On August 30, 2024, Twitch star Kai Cenat shared some new details about his friend Ray, also known as "rayasianboy's," recent visit to Taiwan. For those unaware, a few days ago (August 25, 2024), Cenat bid farewell to Ray in a Snapchat video as the latter left for his hometown in Taiwan for military conscription:
"My boy (is) going back to Taiwan. I've got to hold it down, brodie, all right? I'm going to holla at you, my heart. Safety, my heart. You'll be right back. I'm going to go to Japan, bro... Yeah, I got you, bro. I'll see you soon, okay?"
Earlier today (August 30, 2024), the two-time Streamer of the Year award winner said Ray went back to Taiwan to visit his family instead of serving in the military. Claiming that the 18-year-old would be returning to the United States in a few weeks, he stated:
