In November 2023, ten-year-old hip-hop artist Lil RT appeared on a livestream with Twitch streamer Kai Cenat. During the stream, he performed a freestyle rap that included controversial lyrics, leading to criticism of both him and Cenat. On Christmas Eve 2024, the child star returned to Kai's streams, and during the broadcast, the streamer donated to the hospital treatment of RT's brother, Ba-Kari.

Kai shared a portion of the description from Ba-Kari's GoFundMe page, highlighting that the latter was critically injured in a shooting. He emphasized the severity of Ba-Kari's current condition and the need for support. Furthermore, to help out, the streamer announced he would cover a portion of Ba-Kari's donation goal.

This came as a surprise to Lil RT and even the chatbox. Kai then stated he would be dropping $16,000 to the cause:

"Do you know how blessed your brother is? He's still alive... For Christmas, Imma cover this whole thing, okay?.. Imma give you sixteen thousand dollars to pay for his whole hospital bill. Imma make sure that he's all good."

Ba-Kari's donation page provides more context as to why he was hospitalized in the first place:

"On November 4th, 2024, our beloved Ba-Kari Thomas, known to many as 345Ba-Kari, was tragically injured in a shooting. Since then, he has been fighting for his life..."

Currently, Ba-Kari is conscious but faces a "long road to recovery". The total donation goal has been increased to $40,000 since Kai's stream on Christmas Eve, and as of this writing, the latest contribution to the cause was Kai Cenat's $16,000 donation. While processing the payment, Kai asked Lil RT to convey a message to his brother:

"Tell your brother I said... Imma try to visit and see him soon, but this should cover his hospital bills."

Lil RT appreciated Kai's generosity, and the two spent Christmas Eve opening gifts, revealing Visa card codes to fans as a gift, and talking to the chatbox.

At times, Kai Cenat makes it a point to give back through acts of generosity. His subathon in November had two objectives: to break Ironmouse's world record for most active subscribers and dedicate 20% of the revenue from his "Mafiathon 2" subathon event to fund the construction of schools in Nigeria.

He shared layout designs for the proposed school, emphasizing his commitment to creating a sustainable and well-resourced educational environment for children in Makoko.
