Twitch streamer Kai Cenat and YouTuber Darren "IShowSpeed's" Hardcore Minecraft marathon, spanning over thirteen hours, did not end the way they expected it to. The two were thoroughly defeated in the concluding segment of the game, which is appropriately named The End.
They faced off against the final boss of the game, Ender Dragon, but were defeated. Following the loss, both creators appeared to be visibly distraught, with Kai Cenat seemingly even crying. The Twitch streamer sat for a few minutes covering his face with his hands, before explaining that he had destroyed the End Crystals atop all the End Spike towers that the Dragon uses to regenerate its health, which he believed would guarantee their victory.
"I hit all the towers. Nobody told me what to do after that! Nobody told me what to do!"
Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed were left devastated after losing to the Ender Dragon during Hardcore Minecraft marathon
The two came up with the idea of the Minecraft marathon over a video call during IShowSpeed's livestream on July 27, 2024. Although their initial discussion involved a normal playthrough, IShowSpeed's viewers convinced him that the Hardcore variant of the game would be more entertaining.
Kai Cenat was the first to become the Ender Dragon's victim. IShowSpeed took the helm for a few moments, asking Cenat to speculate instead. However, he soon succumbed to the Ender Dragon's attacks as well, dying just a few seconds after Cenat.
Another clip from the broadcast depicted the two streamers' reaction in the wake of their gaming disaster. Cenat resorted to picking up his chair and launching it across the room. Speed could also be seen joining in, slamming his table in the process. Cenat exclaimed:
"F**k this sh**! F**k!... I'm not doing this sh**! I'm not doing this! Fu** outta here!"
Since they were playing the "Hardcore" mode of the game, they had no way of saving their progress. The duo will now have to start from the beginning of the game and retrace their 13-hour-long progress back to The End.
This was not the only time Kai Cenat launched a chair across the room during his marathon stream with IShowSpeed.
Expressing his frustration following IShowSpeed's in-game death due to falling from a height, Cenat could be seen entering Speed's room and throwing a chair that stood next to Speed.
The Twitch streamer also asked Speed to "stick together", prompting the latter to apologize.
