Popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat and YouTuber IShowSpeed teamed up on December 27 to do a Fortnite marathon. The rules of the marathon were simple, the duo would continue to play Epic's battle royale until they win. Like their previous team-ups, both content creators dressed up as in-game characters and converted their streaming setup to a Fortnite theme as well.

The marathon was announced yesterday December 26. This is the third time Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed have done a gaming marathon on their platforms. Earlier this year, the two played Chained Together and Minecraft, and for both of those marathons, the duo indulged in cosplay themed around the game they were playing at the time.

Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed are perhaps one of the most popular livestreamers in the English-speaking sphere at the moment. Each of them individually bagged three awards at the recent Streamer Awards and has amassed a large following on YouTube and Twitch due to their entertaining streams.

While both of them are doing the Fortnite gaming marathon, they are known for a variety of non-gaming content as well, such as IRL streams and big collaborations. When the two do announce gaming marathons, it is usually much more than just streamers playing a game.

As mentioned, Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed have a record of transforming their streaming setups during such broadcasts with high-production props. This time around, each of them was streaming from different rooms that had been decorated with Fortnite-themed paraphernalia including crates and the iconic slurp juice shield potion jars.

Kai Cenat also had the default pickaxe, and he and Speed dressed up as assault troopers from Fortnite for the marathon. For the initial reveal, both streamers also started dancing to a Fortnite-themed song as well with viewers spamming their chats.

The stream is supposed to only end after the duo gets a win in the ranked mode. While that is not a big ask, the last time they did a gaming marathon, it took them more than four days to finish Minecraft in Hardcore mode. Only time will tell how long it takes for them to finish the Fortnite stream this time around.
