A clip featuring Kai Cenat went viral on July 19, 2024, in which the Twitch star lodged a complaint against his friends Roberto "Fanum" and Ray "rayasianboy" for playing music too loudly at the AMP House in New York. Kai Cenat was about two hours into his livestream when he decided to contact New York's 311 helpline to report the situation.
After the responder replied, the two-time Streamer of the Year award winner said his "neighbors" were being too loud, adding that he and "his kids" were trying to sleep. Describing the situation, Cenat said:
"My neighbors are being so loud right now, and me and my kids are just trying to sleep. I don't know if you guys can hear them right now, but they are super loud. It's like 50 Black people and one Asian kid, and they're just in one house."
The content creator went on to say that "every time" he asked "his neighbors" to be quiet, they started "being too loud":
"Yes, those are my neighbors. They're a whole bunch of Black people in a house, and they are being super loud. Yes, my neighbors are making very loud noises right now. No, can you hear it? The music, it's jumping. I think it's a few Dominicans, one Black guy, and an Asian kid. And every time I tell them to be quiet, they're just being too loud."
After hearing this, the responder requested Kai Cenat's address. A few moments later, the 22-year-old stated that he wanted to remain anonymous regarding the complaint, and the responder stated that the incident had been reported to the nearest police department and emergency response.
