Kai Cenat's friend and Twitch streamer, Ray "rayasianboy" recently discussed the weight carried by the "N-word" and the potential it has to end a livestreamer's career if accidentally uttered during a broadcast. He also talked about the difficulties he faced in avoiding the usage of the word considering he has a large number of friends with Black ethnicity.
Ray talked about how using the N-word by accident can result in serious consequences for a streamer, and potentially end their career. He explained:
"Imagine saying the N-word, and your whole career's gone, bro. Being a streamer, this is the hard part bro. If you're not black, bro, this is the hardest part of all time."
Ray discusses the strong implications of accidentally uttering the N-word during a livestream
Ray and Kai Cenat have been friends since July 2023, when the two first met during Cenat's visit to Japan. Initially introducing himself as a fan of Cenat, Ray quickly became one of his closest associates alongside the AMP collective.
Since then, Ray has appeared alongside Cenat even for major streams such as the collaborative broadcast held by Cenat featuring comedian and actor Kevin Hart.
The streamer, who is known to often collaborate with Cenat's Any Means Possible (AMP) group, discussed how "hard" it was to not use the racially charged word while spending time with "Black streamers". He stated:
"Bro, on God, bro. Being streamer, being an Asian streamer, being beside Black streamers, bro, its so hard to not just say the N-word, bro (sic)."
He further explained that since the accidental utterance of the word would happen during a live broadcast for a streamer, it would not be fixable via editing and thus remain on the internet permanently:
"It's a livestream! You cannot delete. You cannot edit. You feel me? It's so hard to do that, bro."
In other news, Kai Cenat recently made his first "professional" basketball debut in the Little Basketball Association, a fictional league made by the streamer as part of a special event. In it, the New York native participated with aspiring junior basketball players and made for some hilarious moments within the league's draft as well as the actual first game.
