Twitch streamer Kai Cenat is gearing up for his second subathon (subscriber marathon), titled "Mafiathon 2." His first one was held in March 2023, when he made the previous record of the most subscribed Twitch streamer of all time (peaked at 306K). That record was broken by VTuber Ironmouse on September 30, 2024. Her subathon recorded 326K subscribers.
It seems the date of Mafiathon 2, which hasn't been officially announced, was leaked by a promotional display in Los Angeles. According to the advertisement on the wall, Kai Cenat's second subathon is set to start on November 1, 2024.
Pictures of this news were quickly shared across X.com. Popular account FearBuck (@FearedBuck) shared a couple of stills of the event. Here's what the post said:
"Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 is set to begin on November 1, as shown in a huge promo display in Los Angeles"
Kai Cenat teases Mafiathon 2 during recent Boston Celtics game
Kai Cenat has confirmed that Mafiathon 2 will return sometime this year, with hints pointing to a potential start date of November 1, as suggested by the advertisement. The streamer recently teased the event during an NBA game between the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks.
At the NBA game, the streamer wore a full-length coat, suit, and hat, giving him a mysterious appearance. When the camera focused on him, he opened a briefcase revealing a sign with the words "Mafiathon 2":
Earlier in October, he also collaborated with John Cena, who held up a placard displaying "Mafiathon 2." Here's what the streamer said:
"For those of who don't know, the record has been broken. So, it is time to suit up. So chat, I won't be telling you when, but, the next time that you guys will be seeing me is when the Mafiathon begins."
Kai Cenat hasn't streamed since October 14, when he collaborated with John Cena. With his absence spanning a couple of weeks, he's likely been preparing for the subathon. Whether the reports of a November 1 start for Mafiathon 2 are true remains to be seen.
