Twitch streamer Kai Cenat is on a month long streaming event titled Mafiathon 2. It is a subathon, which involves around-the-clock, 24/7, constant streaming from Kai, with the main objective of reaching a subscriber goal. The streamer's objective is to break the world record for most active Twitch subscribers, currently held by VTuber Ironmouse, who achieved over 320,000.
Although Kai's ambition may seem far-fetched to some, the streamer is well on track to demolish his goal. Within eight days, he's managed to accumulate over 240,000 subscribers, and considering he has 22 days left, his trajectory up towards Ironmouse's record is moving fast. On day seven of the event, controversial streamer Jack Doherty donated 100 gifted subscribers to Kai.
Kai Cenat reacted surprised and decided to use the situation to his advantage. The streamer employed a tactic, egging Jack on to donate subs if he'd like to collaborate:
"If you want to pull up to the stream, gift another hundred. Let me cook."
After Jack donated another 100 gifted subscribers, bringing the total count to 200, Kai pursued his tactic further:
"Hold on, if all that money is really his, and he think that me and him would be a good collab, gift another hundred."
Doherty sent the streamer another round of 100 gifted subscribers and after this, Kai revealed his ploy to the stream:
"Chat, I'm not gon lie, I wasn't going to [deal] with Jack. We just finessed him out of 300."
"He was doing bad all year": Kai Cenat gets Jack Doherty to gift him subscribers after suggesting a potential collaboration
Jack Doherty was banned from Kick after he was involved in a high-speed car crash while livestreaming. During the stream, Doherty was driving his McLaren while reading messages on his phone. This distracted driving, combined with speeding on a wet road, led to him losing control and crashing into a guardrail.
Now, the streamer is on Parti.com, streaming IRL (In real-life) content as usual. On one of these streams, he donated to Kai Cenat's subathon after his chat urged him to do so. The streamer claimed that this would prove well for him later, considering all the potential viewership he may gain from Kai's reaction to his donation live.
"Dude, the amount of views that come here once I donate a couple hundred [subscribers] is motion."
Due to Jack's controversial nature, Kai mentioned that he did not want to be associated with that type of energy:
"He was doing bad all year chat, I'm not associating myself with that. He was doing bad all year, that's not good vibes. But we got 300 though!"
In other news, Snoop Dogg plans a live sleepover stream with Kai Cenat to celebrate the release of his upcoming album.
