South African singer Tyla's latest song, Breathe Me, has seemingly sent a shockwave to Twitch streamer Kai Cenat. It's no secret that he has a crush on the pop star and even expressed his romantic interests to her (by asking her out on a date) during a collaboration stream. However, Tyla wasn't quite ready to approve Kai's proposal and ended up replying - "But we're friends though."
Today (September 4, 2024) Kai broke down in tears after Tyla unveiled her partner in the music video. To rub salt into the wounds, Tyla jocularly used 'But we friends tho' as the caption to a clip featuring a teaser of her new song on X.

Naturally, Kai was left in a dumbfounded state after discovering the post. The streamer promptly replied by writing this underneath the clip:
"YO W*F"
Watch: Kai Cenat seemingly sheds tears after reacting to Tyla's new post featuring her boyfriend
South African singer-songwriter Tyla's recent online antics left Twitch streamer Kai Cenat in tears during a livestream. The streamer was initially rendered speechless after reacting to Tyla's post featuring her love interest. Upon seeing the troll-worthy caption, Kai remarked:
"Ratio, radio, ratio now! Bro, what the f**k, bro! No bro, what the f**k! This is not real, bro. This is not real. Oh my god! What the f**k!"
Kai was even brought to tears after seeing Tyla's troll-worthy post. During the live stream, the Twitch streamer gave a close-up shot of his face, showing him literally crying in front of his 50K+ live viewers.
It's evident that Tyla's caption referenced the viral clip from her visit to Kai's stream earlier this year. However, it's likely that this was done in jest and wasn't intended as a jab, as both Tyla and Kai have remained on amicable terms despite the 'friendzone' incident.
Tyla, of course, isn't the only singer or music artist Kai has collaborated with this year. He has formed close bonds with various figures within the music industry. Recently, during a stream inside a U-Haul truck, he teamed up with Ice Spice for a stream.
