Internet personality and DramaAlert host Daniel "Keemstar" recently took to X to debunk accusations being levied against Twitch creator Imane "Pokimane" of using the "N-word" against controversial Rumble streamer Nicolas "Sneako" in an audio clip. The clip has been doing the rounds on social media and has gathered massive attention due to its close resemblance to Imane's natural tone of speaking, thus sparking speculations regarding its authenticity.

However, as Keemstar explained, the audio clip is generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and is therefore confirmed to be not real. In a post made on July 19, 2024, on X, Keemstar said:

"Pokimane saying the N-word? We’ve been sent audio, allegedly of Poki calling SNEAKO , the N-word. THE AUDIO IS Ai ! It’s NOT Real! Please stop spamming us with this BS."

AI-generated audio clip of Pokimane calling Sneako the "N-word" goes viral on X

The ability of AI technology to produce accurate-sounding voices of popular figures seems to be trumping netizens' judgment of what is authentic. The audio clip in question involves certain inflections and tone shifts fitting the content being relayed, giving a more natural sound to the audio clip and making it easier to erroneously pass it off as real.

Within the AI-generated audio clip, Pokimane's simulated voice can be heard calling Sneako out for criticizing her and her fanbase. "She" can be first heard defending her fanbase, stating that they are not "simps". Soon after, "she" proceeded to hurl racially motivated and homophobic slurs at him. The audio clip states:

"I guess I can understand some of your criticisms, but Sneako, I honestly, I feel like you have a completely warped view on my fanbase, because my fans are actually not simps! They respect me and I love them for it. So, I would appreciate if you stopped reacting to my content. You black piece of sh**. N****r. You're a f**king fa***t, and I'll f**king beat you in a fight any day!"

This audio clip comes days after the online feud between Sneako and Pokimane, which saw the two going back and forth on X. The beef began after Sneako defended Dr Disrespect and called out Pokimane following the Twitch Whisper controversy where the Doc admitted to texting a minor inappropriately. Pokimane responded to Sneako by calling him a "cu*k," which was then followed by Sneako calling her out on his livestream as well.

This is not the only recent incident involving streamers and racial slurs in the past few days, as IShowSpeed recently made a running joke by utilizing them within a segment of his IRL stream from Denmark.

He did so by exploiting certain Danish words such as "Nikke" and "Nekka", which directly translate to "Nodding" and "Neck," respectively, in English. He tricked locals within the country into saying the words out loud, such that they sounded like they were making use of racial slurs.
