Kick issues statement after Antioch High School shooter broadcasted the incident on the platform

Kick has issued a statement after the Antioch High School shooter livestreamed the incident on the Stake-backed platform. For those unaware, on January 22, 2025, 17-year-old Solomon Henderson briefly livestreamed the shooting at Antioch High School in Nashwell, Tennessee. The Metro Nashville Police Department later confirmed that a teenage female was fatally shot at the school's cafeteria.

"What we know at this point: A 17-year-old male student fired multiple shots in the cafeteria at 11:09 a.m. Two students were wounded, one fatally (a female). The other student (a male) suffered a graze wound to the arm. The 17-year-old shot himself in the head and is deceased," Metro Nashville PD posted on X on January 22, 2025.

On the same day, several X users shared videos of Solomon Henderson's Kick broadcast titled, My first stream, which reportedly lasted two minutes and 20 seconds.

X user @CultureWar2020 reported:

"Shooter at Antioch High School in Nashville, Tennessee, identified as a 17-year-old male, reportedly livestreamed part of the incident on the platform Kick. 2 minutes and 20 seconds long, only about 50 seconds of it is playable."

On January 23, 2025, Kick issued a public statement via its official X community handle, confirming that the Antioch High School shooting in Nashville, Tennessee was livestreamed on the platform.

Stating that the shooter's account was "rapidly banned," with the video being removed, Kick asserted that there was no place for violence on the platform:

"On January 22, an attack occurred in Nashville, Tennessee, and was partially livestreamed. We extend our thoughts to everyone impacted by this event. KICK rapidly banned the account and removed the video. Violence has no place on KICK. We are actively working with law enforcement and taking all appropriate steps to support their investigation."

Has the 17-year-old Antioch High School shooter mentioned being influenced by popular streamers?

On January 22, 2025, reports circulated on social media that the 17-year-old Antioch High School shooter had shared an alleged manifesto. According to various sources, the alleged manifesto was uploaded to Solomon Henderson's Instagram account before the incident.

In one of the pages, Henderson spoke about "particular groups or people" that "radicalized him the most." While name-dropping prominent internet figures such as Jimmy "MrBeast," Hasan "HasanAbi," Steven "Destiny," Ethan "iDubbbz," and Nicholas "Nick" Fuentes, among others, Solomon Henderson allegedly wrote:

"Is there a particular groups or people that radicalized you the most? Candace Owens, Ethan Ralph, Nick Fuentes, Turkey Tom, Ruben Sim, MrBeast, CobsonTalks, Wayne Lambright, Idubbbz, Destiny, Hasan Piker."

As of this writing, the content creators mentioned above have not responded to being named in the alleged manifesto.
