Kick streamer Steven "Destiny" has accused YouTuber Steven "Boogie2988" of faking his cancer diagnosis. During a livestream on July 10, 2024, Destiny reacted to Boogie2988's tweet from November 16, 2022, in which he addressed rumors about him "faking" his cancer diagnosis.
The tweet was captioned:
"So the rumor mill has decided I am faking my cancer diagnosis. Let me address it this one and only time."
In a one-minute and 56-second video, Boogie2988 said:
"I see the rumor mills creeping back up again. The same rumor mills that's accused me of god knows what else. And this time, they've decided that I am faking my cancer diagnosis. And, whereas I know those people know better! I know nobody's that f**king stupid! They're still going to spread it like wildfire. So, number one - if you're that kind of a person - f**king stop!"

Destiny claimed Boogie2988 was "absolutely lying" about the situation after hearing what the 49-year-old had said:
