Kick streamer Fousey, real name Yousef Saleh Erakat, was swatted on his most recent livestream while he was sitting in his car parked in a lot. Swatting is a dangerous practice where a hoax call is made targeting people to get a law enforcement response and creators who stream their content live are especially susceptible to it.

Over the last few years, many prominent streamers on Kick and Twitch such as Adin Ross have been swatted while they are streaming. In Fousey's case, he was IRL streaming from a parking lot and several police officers showed up shouting at him to open his windows, threatening him that he might get shot if he did not comply.

"This is a prank call": Fousey talks to the police after getting swatted during a recent Kick stream

As mentioned, swatting has become far too common in the livestreaming space with many content creators facing danger as law enforcement either storm their house. Recently, Valorant streamer s0m had the police barge into his home after a similar hoax call.

Fousey's case highlights how dangerous swatting can be for those involved. Unintentionally the Kick streamer had started his car before he realized the group of policemen were standing behind him. One of the officers can be heard shouting at him to turn off the car:

"Hey stop the car."

Fousey immediately had his hands up, stopped the car, and proceeded to roll down the windows:

"Alright, alright, alright!"

This is when one of the police officers announced that if the streamer tries to reach for anything, he will be shot:

"Put your hands up. If you reach for anything you will be shot."

Fousey was then ordered to put his hands outside after rolling down the window:

"Put your window all the way down, put your hand out of the window."

The streamer was reminded that he would be shot if tried reaching for anything and Fousey shouted back confirming that he was not doing that. Then, he tried to reason with law enforcement, claiming that he was a live streamer making content and that someone had probably made a hoax call to mess with him.

Fousey also revealed that he had a dog in his lap:

"I am not reaching for anything sir, I am livestreaming right now I am on camera. I am not reaching for anything, I have a dog on my lap. I have dog in my lap, a teacup maltese. This is a prank call, I am livestreaming."

Fortunately, the situation did not escalate any further, and after the police checked it all out Fousey returned to IRL streaming on his Kick channel. However, it is easy to see how the swatting could have turned dangerous with the streamer possibly getting hurt in the process.
