A clip catching a gang of three men trying to physically rob Kick streamer Kangjoel while he was livestreaming from South Africa has garnered a lot of attention on social media. The South Korean streamer is an IRL content creator and has been broadcasting his travels around the world. He has been in Africa for some time now.
While in South Africa, Kangjoel took a night-time stroll along the beach when a group of three men accosted him and his local friend. An altercation followed, and the group apparently wanted to rob the Kick streamer. However, Kangjoel came out of the fight without losing his phone.
In a later part of the broadcast, the Kick streamer revealed how he was kicked and his friend was punched in the face by the assailants.
"That guy kicked me": Kick streamer Kangjoel talks about being attacked in South Africa
After the group of three attackers had run away from the area, the Kick streamer and his friend started revisiting the attack. While the camera had been on the whole time, it couldn't catch most of the attempted robbery due to the scuffle.
Kangjoel's friend claimed he was punched in the face and said that he retaliated against the robbers despite being hurt:
"Really hurt me man. He punched me right in the face. I punched him back too. In the face."
The Kick streamer revealed he was kicked and punched as well, but explained that he had maintained a strong grip on his phone, saving it from getting robbed:
"That guy kicked me and then punched me. But I kept grabbing, I kept grabbing my phone. And then I pulled, tight. He fell of and ran. Ran away."
Ironically, this is not the first time that Kangjoel has been robbed in South Africa. Last year, a man ran away with one of his bags while he was streaming it on Kick.
