A clip comparing the livestream chats of Twitch star Kai Cenat and fellow Kick and Twitch streamer Félix "xQc" has been making rounds on social media. One of the points highlighted within the clip is that Kai's chat seems to be slower than xQc's at first glance, despite the former having over 100,000 viewers compared to only 14,000 on xQc's broadcast.
The clip has gone massively viral on X, garnering over four million views within a day of being posted on the microblogging site by @Kick_Champ.
Many X users have since opined that the matter may be a basis for a comparison between Twitch and Kick as streaming platforms, since Kai Cenat is known to be the face of the Amazon-owned platform while xQc is one of Kick's most popular creators.
"Kick vs twitch," wrote X user @OptimistChicago
"We riding with kick," wrote X user @WORLDOFCLIPZ
On the other side, many users believed that Kai's chat was relatively slower due to him having enabled certain modifications to his chat, including Slow Mode and Sub-only mode, which prevent the general audience from indiscriminately sending back-to-back messages.
"Bro xd kai use slow mode and mode sub all time," wrote X user @byteg7
"So y’all don’t know what slow mode is??" wrote X user @TSNMILaden
Meanwhile, some believed that the comparison between the two streamers was unwarranted and invalid since they had different styles of streaming, with one being more interactive with their chat as compared to the other:
"Two different styles of streams. It’s like comparing a comedy show and news. One involves engaging in the conversation and the other you can sit back and relax to," wrote X user
What was the recent controversy involving Kai Cenat and xQc?
Streaming stars Kai Cenat and xQc collided head-on online as part of a feud after the former compared his material wealth with xQc, implying that he had a bigger fortune than the former Overwatch professional player.
This was following remarks made by xQc about Kai Cenat's frequent collaborations with celebrities on his broadcasts. In response to Kai comparing his wealth with xQc, the latter stated that he had "AMP’s entire net worth in one USB stick".
xQc had also expressed his disappointment with Fortnite's developer, Epic Games, after the organization extended support to Kai Cenat and YouTuber Darren "IShowSpeed" during their OG Fortnite streaming marathon. The Kick streamer claimed that the two were being given "special treatment" by the game development company.
