Felix "xQc" has called out Epic Games after he learned about the developers supposedly helping Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed in banning stream snipers during their Fortnite marathon that started on December 27, 2024. For context, the initial goal of the broadcast was to win a match in the OG Ranked mode.

Before they started playing, Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed warned stream snipers. They claimed Epic Games was paying attention to their broadcast and insinuated that people who stream-sniped would swiftly get banned. As news about this spread, xQc came across @scubaryan_'s post about it on X and expressed his dissatisfaction.

xQc specifically called out Epic Games, claiming it should not be giving "special treatment" to the popular streamers because of the marathon, and called the decision to help them in such a way "brain-dead":

"'Epic Games has given Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed accounts for Fortnite that can get people banned by reporting them for stream sniping', I think that's brain-dead. F**k all of them for doing that. That's L, L Epic Games. If you give special treatment, give it to everybody. Everybody is as valuable."

"No, I am not jealous": xQc says Epic Games should "fix the game" instead of helping Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed during their Fortnite marathon

During the Fortnite marathon, Kai Cenat had informed the audience that the streaming teams for him and IShowSpeed were encouraged to report stream-snipers to Epic Games with the promise that someone would seemingly expedite the process of taking action against the alleged suspects.

At the time, Kai Cenat read from an official community and said:

"Hi team, reminder to ask Kai and Speed to report stream snipers in game, so I can use those reports to push the Epic security to go after anyone who is stream sniping them."

xQc took issue with this move and labeled it as special treatment. The streamer's gripe was with Epic Games, and he criticized developers for not fixing the game's problem with stream snipers but only extending help to Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed.

xQc also claimed that he was not jealous, stating:

"No, I am not jealous. It's not about jealousy. It's an L. You either fix the game, you either fix your sh*t, okay, and you help everybody. Or you help no one. It's an L, it's an L. It is what it is."

Speaking of xQc, the Canadian streamer recently responded to Drake's comments about his girlfriend AikoBliss which had created a lot of controversy in the community.
