A law firm recently made a post on X encouraging cryptocurrency investors to contact them to consider legal action against Haliey Welch. Welch is an internet meme personality popularly known as the "Hawk Tuah girl". The post made by the firm, Burwick Law, addressed individuals who have invested and lost money in the $HAWK cryptocurrency launched and promoted by Haliey Welch.

In what was termed a "rug pull," the crypto coin lost a massive chunk of its value very quickly, reducing by a whopping $440 million. This invited much speculation and criticism from notable figures, such as YouTuber and online investigator Stephen "Coffeezilla".

Labeling the post as "attorney advertising," Burwick Law's official X account wrote:

"If you lost money on $HAWK, contact our firm to learn about your legal rights. Our firm represents thousands of nft and token investors in securities matters. This is attorney advertising."

Law firm makes X post offering to represent Haliey Welch's cryptocurrency investors amid scam allegations

Haliey Welch, or the Hawk Tuah girl, gained popularity earlier this year after a clip of an interview involving her using her signature phrase went viral on the internet. Following that, she launched her podcast, called Talk Tuah with Haliey Welch, which later became one of the most popular podcasts in the United States.

That said, Welch's recent cryptocurrency launch has evoked much controversy online, as prominent content creators like Coffeezilla claimed it to be significantly affected by "insider trading".

The cryptocurrency was launched on the Solana blockchain on December 4, 2024. A short while later, the value of the coin rose rapidly to $500 million and then declined just as rapidly to $60 million, in just a matter of 20 minutes.

Netizens were also quick to react to the meme coin's collapse, with many expressing their disappointment over the situation. On the other hand, some speculated whether Welch would face any form of punishment for the alleged "sniped" crypto coin.
