Internet influencer Logan Paul has gone viral for controversial reasons after a 35-second clip of him surfaced on social media. The clip was taken from Paul's four-year-old video, in which he was seen on a boat with his friends and his dog, Broley. At one point, the animal fell into the lake, prompting the professional boxer to jump in to save him.

On August 22, 2024, a post on the r/h3h3productions subreddit, in which a netizen accused Paul of "attempting to kill his dog" by pushing him "into a boat propeller," went viral:

"Logan Paul attempts to kill his dog by pushing it into a boat propeller for 'content' and tries to pretend it just jumped off."

This thread has received over 22.4k upvotes, with 4,035 netizens commenting.

"This infuriates me more than most things anyone could ever do. F**k you, Logan. I hope a dog pushes you off a boat into danger for no reason someday," wrote Redditor u/kal195.
"This is clearly animal endangerment. I hope this gets circulated widely," commented Redditor u/Always4am.
"And then his cringe jumping as if he's heroically saving his dog. Such an ugly and fake personality, man," remarked Redditor u/vluniis.

On August 23, 2024, Logan Paul responded to the allegations on X by writing, "I would never." He shared a screenshot of a YouTube comment he posted four years ago, "clarifying" that he did not push his dog off the boat:

"Clarifying in the comments: we would never, ever, ever, push Broley off the boat. He jumped and a hand was behind him, petting him, and when he jumped, we attempted to grab him, but for a fact, we did not push him. Watch his body language and you can very evidently see a self-induced, independent hump from the little Mut. Thanks for coming to my TED talk."

In a follow-up post, Logan Paul shared a 25-second video showing his dog falling into the water in slow motion. Following the animal's jump into the lake, a prompt appeared on the screen, claiming that "two different hands" were attempting to "stabilize Broley" to prevent him from jumping and pulling him back to the boat.
