Popular streamer Ludwig has announced that his YouTube contract will be ending soon. On November 26, 2024, the content creator held his "last stream" on the Google-owned platform, during which he stated that he was "fence-sitting" on where he intended to broadcast full-time.

While claiming that he was "no longer obligated" to be on YouTube, Ludwig hinted at a return to Twitch:

"This is the last week of my contract, so I'm no longer obligated to be on YouTube. Right? And it would be stupid. I think you guys would agree, it'd be stupid not to try a stream on Twitch. Really? We won't even try a stream? Not even an attempt? We, at the very least, should try."

The Mogul Mail Live host then made it clear that he won't be switching platforms to Kick or Rumble:

"Okay, let's get something very clear! Would you consider Kick? No! Would you consider Rumble? No! The goal is to find a chat, a streaming spot, that is best for the people who watch the streams, that gets the most viewers in, and that has a fun chat to talk. That's really it. You know what I mean?"

Ludwig explains how streamers make money after saying he could "try" livestreaming on Twitch following his YouTube contract's expiration

After stating that he had no plans to switch platforms to Kick or Rumble, Ludwig claimed that streamers make their money primarily by running advertisements or bringing in a large number of paid subscribers.

According to him, these were the "only two ways" for content creators to make money:

"No one's handing out big contracts, right? So, how do you make money? You make money by running ads on the people who are watching or having a lot of paid subscribers. That's it! Those are the only two ways to make money... is give ads to the people watching, so you need a lot of viewers for that, or have a dedicated group of people who pay you to watch. Right? That's it! There's not a third route to make money."

Moments later, a viewer caught the 29-year-old's attention after suggesting that he should consider broadcasting his content on Facebook. In response, Ludwig said:

"'Facebook livestreams.' Okay, relax!"

In other news, Ludwig recently teamed up with Twitch star Kai Cenat to host a $100,000 giveaway in Los Angeles.
