YouTube star Ludwig Ahgren has announced the "Ludwig's Streamer Games," a new IRL event in which popular streamers will compete in a variety of track and field sports. In a social media post, the Los Angeles-based content creator jokingly wrote that he "forced" a bunch of gamers and streamers to participate in the event.

Ludwig's Streamer Games is set to premiere on August 17 and run till August 18. The event will be broadcast on Ludwig's official YouTube channel, as well as on Twitch under the Mogul Moves channel.

As of this writing, the following teams will be participating in the event:

  • OfflineTV (OTV)
  • One True King (OTK)
  • YouTube
  • Twitch
  • Red Bull
  • FaZe Clan
  • 100 Thieves
  • Podcasters

Here's what Ludwig posted on X:

"Imagine if I forced a bunch of gamers and streamers to compete in track and field events, lol. Anyway, see you August 17-18."

"Legally distinct from other track and field events," - Ludwig provides details about the "Ludwig's Streamer Games"

During a YouTube stream earlier today (July 31, 2024), Ludwig showcased the trailer mentioned above for the first time. To avoid getting into "legal trouble," the former Twitch streamer announced that his IRL event is "distinct from" other track and field events:

"Chat, new event! All right? Hey, real quick before we say anything else that can get me in legal trouble, hey, legally distinct from other track and field events. I would say, honestly, if you were asking me personally... totally irrelevant. Like, I don't even see a good comparison."

The 29-year-old claimed that Ludwig's Streamer Games is "somewhat similar" to Disney Channel Games:

"If anything, I'll say - it might be somewhat similar to, like, Disney Channel Games. Not even that close, honestly. Its kind of like, 'Hey, we are related to bananas based off our DNA. You know? There's some percentage we share of bananas.' So, what's what I would say."

Ludwig then discussed the eight teams competing at the event and "leaked" that they would be battling for "small tungsten cubes" instead of gold medals:

"All competing not for gold, actually. I believe, this might be a leak, they're competing for tungsten. Our prize is literally going to be small tungsten cubes. Hey, one of the densest metals on this planet!"

In addition to the livestream, fans also have the option to watch Ludwig's Streamer Games in person, with a two-day pass costing $50 excluding taxes.
