YouTube streamer "Ludwig" Ahgren has commented on Tyson "TenZ's" announcement of retiring from competitive Valorant. For those unaware, on September 15, 2024, TenZ uploaded a YouTube video titled, Thank you., in which he officially announced his retirement from the Valorant professional scene.
Stating that the decision wasn't "easy to make," the Vietnamese-Canadian personality said:
"Hello, everyone. Today I am officially announcing that I am retiring from competitive Valorant. Now, obviously, this wasn't an easy decision for me to make. But it is one that I made at the start of this year, actually, where I told myself that this was kind of my last year. And I wanted to put my all into this year, and just see how it went."
Ludwig was taken aback by TenZ's announcement. Commenting on the 23-year-old's choice of music for his video, the Los Angeles-based personality remarked:
"TenZ retired! Why are they playing this song?! Jesus Christ! My god, it makes it sound like he died. Honest to god, it was kind of a high point, no? They won a championship. I mean, they didn't win Champs. But winning Madrid was pretty hype. Dude, the two-time of Valorant is retiring. No!"
After hearing TenZ discuss his success as a content creator, Ludwig stated that being a professional gamer "sucked." Using former CS: GO pro Tarik as an example, the Mogul Money Live host stated:
"Oh, is it for content creation? Look, being a pro player sucks! It high-key sucks. Like, Tarik's life... well, I shouldn't say that. Tarik's career is better than the career of any esports player, right? Life, obviously, there's more to it than that. And, you know, Tarik, obviously, is burnt out. So he's got his own s**t going on."
"But like, the career is at a better position than the esports player because your career doesn't depend on you playing at the highest level at all times forever. And if you play bad, everybody hates you and curses the day you were born."
Ludwig hopes TenZ will do karaoke with him because the latter will have "free time" post-retirement from the Valorant pro scene
Ludwig continued the conversation, expressing hope that TenZ would be able to do karaoke with him now that he has "free time," as he is retiring from the Valorant pro scene. While conveying his appreciation for the esports veteran, Ludwig said:
"I f**king love TenZ. Wait, maybe this means he'll do karaoke with me. He's going to have more free time. Let's go! I will tell you - Tenz, when he goes karaoke, hoes out and immediately starts f**king bumping Britney Spears. Toxic comes up at the karaoke, no one is sl**tier in the building, except for TenZ."
In other news, Ludwig recently commented on being the third-most-popular YouTube streamer of 2024, by calling himself the "LCS (League of Legends' North American League Championship Series) of YouTube streaming."
