Twitch star Darren "IShowSpeed" attended the FA Cup final held in Wembley Stadium, along with his South Korean date, Amy Flamy, on May 25, 2024. Following the club's 2-1 victory over Manchester City, he was invited to Manchester United's FA Cup after-party.
However, the move seems to have ruffled some feathers among the non-playing Man United staff, as they were reportedly not invited to the event as part of the club's "cost-cutting" drive.
The staff were previously allowed to participate in after-parties and were provided a free ticket and coverage for travel and food expenses. However, the new cost-reduction measures by the club have supposedly involved removing these benefits.

Darren had attended the FA Cup final donning a Manchester United jersey along with his date, as they both cheered for the club during the match. Despite his support for the team, his being invited to the Marriott Hotel in Mayfair by Alejandro Garnacho, the club's winger, did not sit well with the club's staff.

As per Daily Mail, the club's non-playing staff was reportedly not invited due to cost-cutting measures being undertaken by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the managing director of Ineos group. Ineos Group has reportedly acquired approximately 27 percent of the club, with more being pledged by Ratcliffe.
Furthermore, the staff were also reportedly invited to take redundancy, and additional job cuts are expected out of the club's workforce in the upcoming days.
iShowSpeed's experience at the FA Cup final match was not all too pleasant either. The creator had an altercation with a fellow Man United fan at the match who told him to "shut up" while the creator was trying to hype up the crowd.
Matters seemed to get heated, as the creator was leaving the stadium. While in his car, he was met with rival Manchester City fans, who surrounded him. They appeared to shout at Darren while banging on his car window, infuriating the creator in the process.
