Mayor of Sofia presents IShowSpeed with a ball signed by Bulgarian footballing legend Hristo Stoichkov

IShowSpeed was in Bulgaria for his most recent IRL stream and met with the Mayor of Sofia Vassil Terziev. The YouTube streamer was followed by scores of his fans throughout the streets of the country's capital city and had quite a few memorable moments, one of which was when the Mayor presented him with a ball signed by former Bulgarian footballer and Ballon d'Or winner Hristo Stoichkov.

Hristo Stoichkov was playing for the famous Spanish team FC Barcelona back in 1994 when he won the Ballon d'Or, and considering IShowSpeed is a known football fan, the gift was quite apt. After talking to him about attending a Real Madrid game, the Mayor of Sofia explained all of the history to the streamer while giving him the signed ball, stating:

"This a ball, a special one. It's from Hristo Stoichkov. Do you know who Hristo Stoichkov is? You're a bit young. He won the Ballon d'Or in 1994, a legend for Barcelona. Not Real, Barcelona. Greatest Bulgarian football player."

IShowSpeed has been touring Europe and IRL streaming from different cities for the last few weeks after he came to Germany from the United States to watch the UEFA Euros. His IRL streams have been attracting large crowds in almost all of the cities he visits, and the streamer has to be escorted by bodyguards to keep them at bay.

On his most recent IRL stream, he was in the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia where he met the Mayor of the city. This is not the first time that IShowSpeed has had a meeting with a European politician, as the YouTuber chatted with the Albanian Prime Minister while streaming from the country last month.

However, this time he came out of the meeting with a gift after the Mayor of Sofia presented him with a ball signed by the former Bulgarian footballer and Ballon d'Or winner Hristo Stoichkov. Although the 19-year-old streamer did not know who Stoichkov was before, the Mayor explained it to him.

After realizing the importance, IShowSpeed was stunned and hugged the ball before thanking the Mayor who claimed it was a present for the YouTuber to remember his visit to Sofia:

"He was the greatest Bulgarian football player? And he signed this? And you are giving this to me?"

The streamer also shared a closeup photo of the ball with Hristo Stoichkov's signature on X while boarding a flight to his next European city and encouraging fans to guess where he will stream from next. Many fans seem to think it will be Bucharest or Budapest, but readers should note that IShowSpeed only announces his streams about half an hour before starting them.
