Twitch and Kick star Felix "xQc" has explained why he signed a livestreaming deal with the Stake-backed platform. During a Just Chatting and gaming broadcast on December 11, 2024, xQc connected with Adin Ross and Tyler "Trainwreckstv." During their conversation, the former Overwatch pro discussed his decision to join Kick, citing "one of the main reasons" for doing so.

According to xQc, his "career was threatened many times" by people working at Amazon, whom he claims had "mega bias" against him:

"Listen, one of the main reasons, by the way, I'm not joking about this. (One of the) Main reasons why I even considered, not saying a take, I even started the conversation about even signing a Kick deal, right, is the fact that my career was threatened so many times by the very makers at Amazon. The people that banned for what? For some random bull s**t. Right? With mega bias against me. Right?"

xQc used controversial Kick streamer Paul "Ice Poseidon" as an example, claiming he "lost everything overnight" after being permanently banned from Twitch:

"Why would I want everything I've ever worked for to disappear overnight? 10 years or whatever. Because of something that I don't even control. Just look at Ice. Ice lost everything overnight (for) something that wasn't even his fault! Think about that. And I didn't want to be in that position."

Furthermore, the French-Canadian personality commented on those who are "slaves" to Amazon, saying:

"If you can stream anywhere and you're doing that at the same time, and you're cross-growing your platform or whatever the f**k, who cares if you get banned on one of them? Like, you're still live on all of the platforms. It changes nothing. Right? Unless you're in a slave state for Amazon! Which is a f**king joke! I know people are willingly and boast about being slaves for Amazon is just sad! It's just so sad! Like, you're not cool or anything. You're a dumb f**k!"

xQc recently called out YourRAGE for criticizing Kick

On December 10, 2024, xQc expressed his dissatisfaction with Josh "YourRAGE" for supposedly criticizing Kick. While claiming that the streamer should not have "doubled or tripled down" on his criticisms of the livestreaming platform, Felix stated that the 27-year-old was "paid more money than he deserved":

"Why cause more damage to people that have done right by you? People that paid you more money than you deserved. More money than you were worth at the time. People that looked out for you and gave you a lot of money."

YourRAGE eventually responded, stating that he had not criticized Kick. Furthermore, he claimed that his working relationship with the platform had not ended.
