The Impaulsive podcast's co-host Mike Majlak and Rumble streamer Nicolas "Sneako" clashed on X over the recent controversy surrounding boxer Imane Khelif. To those unaware, Khelif has been facing condemnation from certain circles after she participated and subsequently won a recent match-up in the women's boxing event at the Olympics, despite having undergone an unspecified DNA test which allegedly revealed her to have the "XY chromosome".
It is important to note that she has never undergone any transition process as doing so is prohibited in her home nation of Algeria. Further, she identifies as a female and has done so historically, as is evident from her passport as well.
After Mike Majlak made and deleted a post weighing in on the topic, Sneako seemingly criticized the former. While not mentioning Majlak, he stated that the "modern influencer" does not believe in anything as opinions are considered "chores":
"The modern influencer would prefer to never think if given the option. They only get on podcasts for instagram clout to bang LA wh**es. They do not believe in anything because opinions are chores. They are like dumb hot blondes dating Israel."
In response, Majlak claimed it did not matter what he or other "celebrities" had to say on the topic:
"Bro are you serious, biological men shouldn’t be playing women’s sports ever. but me saying it. what does it do. That was the whole point of my og tweet. who cares what celebrities think about this."
Going further, Majlak stated that he had historically held the same opinion. Also, he called Sneako a "c**k" and used profanities to refer to him, stating that it was the Rumble streamer's behavior that prevented others from getting along with him:
"Bro I've said it 50,000 times on shows, go find the clips. i deleted the main tweet and tweeted again cuz i'm trying to understand the situation you stupid c**k c**cksucker this is why nobody f**ks with you."
Fans reacted to Majlak's explosive reply to Sneako on X, with many taking sides. While some applauded Majlak's stern reply, others sided with Sneako and stated that the former's reaction seemed to be "over the top". That said, some opted to steer clear of either personality, criticizing them both equally:
Talking about Majlak's outspoken personality, X user @OGMonkeyDLuffy stated:
"But Mike has no filter tho. Man can go on for ages"
"W Mike on this one," wrote X user @UltraGGx
"Seems a little over the top, no?" wrote @symaeon on X
"Sneako is in the news everyday," said X user @TheyLoveKawaiii
"Let’s keep it a buck no one cares what Mike Maljak has to say. That being said Sneako is also a loser," wrote X user @Hambotweets
Why is Algerian boxer Imane Khelif involved in a controversy?
Imane Khelif is an amateur boxer who participated in the 2018 and 2019 iterations of the AIBA Women's Boxing Championships. She was also a participant in the 2020 Summer Olympics and managed to reach the finals of the IBA Women's World Boxing Championship in 2023
However, it was at this point that Imane Khelif was not allowed to go further into the championship. Her disqualification, as per claims made by the Algerian Olympic Committee, had arisen out of "high levels of testosterone" allegedly found in her body.
Further, as per the International Boxing Association (IBA), an unspecified DNA test done on Imane Khelif had allegedly revealed her to possess the "XY chromosome," which is typically seen in males.
Imane Khelif originates from Algeria, where medical treatment facilitating sex transition as well as identifying oneself as transgender is prohibited. Hence, she is not transgender and is considered a female as per official documents, and has always competed as such.
Speculations and discussions regarding Imane Khelif's gender identity are still rife online, with creators like Sneako and Andrew Tate commenting on the matter.
