Mission Flight revealed that after months of delay, YouTuber Jimmy "MrBeast" and his team reached out to them and finally funded the eye surgeries they had done (a total of 62 surgeries were reported). The delay, in fact, caused controversy. For context, Mission Flight uploaded a video in February 2024 titled MrBeast DID NOT PAY for 1,000 EYE SURGERIES.
In the video, they alleged that Jimmy had not paid them "a single penny" for the eye surgeries (which he pledged to fund). They had said:
"We did 62 surgeries that weekend. That's a $124K. We are yet to receive a penny from MrBeast or anyone mentioned in that video."
However, once this video started getting traction online, Jimmy's team reached out and wired them the money. Mission Flight said:
"Someone from Jimmy's team contacted us and was sincerely surprised that we had not been compensated. He was pretty shocked and asked what they could do to make things right. I referenced back to our video where we had done 62 surgeries that weekend, which cost us about $2K each. So they wired a $124K this morning."
"There was a third party involved" - Mission Flight explains why there was a delay from MrBeast
Mission Flight's first video about MrBeast began gaining attention after YouTuber Rosanna Pansino shared it on her X account. Following this, MrBeast's team reached out and reimbursed all the expenses incurred for the eye surgeries (amounting to $124K).
Explaining the delay, Mission Flights said:
"There was a third party involved with big miscommunications and misunderstandings and I believe those things are gonna get worked out as well in the future or certain third parties are not going to be used in the future. We just look forward to serving people."
They also hinted that they look forward to working with MrBeast for future projects as well. They said:
"We look forward to serving more and more people, perhaps doing that together (with MrBeast). We are looking forward to seeing what lies ahead. So, we're gonna turn the page and move onwards and upwards and to say thank you again."
The YouTuber is currently trending on social media after disclosing the findings of internal investigations conducted into MrBeast's company over the past few months. These investigations were in response to controversial allegations against some team members, and they ultimately refuted the claims.
