In an X post, YouTuber star Jimmy "MrBeast" has claimed that his recently launched competitive reality show, Beast Games, will improve in intensity and overall quality in the upcoming episodes. This comes after the release of the show's third episode on December 26, 2024, and an unfavorable review from media outlet IGN, which gave the show a measly rating of 2 out of 10.
Responding to an X post by a viewer who pointed out the improvements in the show's third episode over the previous two, MrBeast stated:
"Just getting started, as we get to fewer contestants, the show gets amazing! Some of our biggest sets are still to come and the storytelling and intensity gets (OK Hand Emoji)."
MrBeast promises improvement in Beast Games' storytelling and intensity with each new episode
MrBeast's much-hyped reality game show Beast Games was launched on Amazon Prime Video on December 19, 2024, to much fanfare online. Two episodes of the show were simultaneously made available for viewing, with the first one being watchable without an active subscription.
However, in an unprecedented move, pop media organization IGN came out with a scathing review of the show, calling it a "shallow series" that is preferable for existing fans or those who require "background noise while scrolling" on their devices.
Unsurprisingly, this was not received well by MrBeast, who claimed that the IGN critic who gave the review did not like him. He added that Beast Games will improve in quality once the number of contestants reduces in the coming episodes. The show initially started off with 1,000 participants.
Beast Games episodes are scheduled to be released every week on Thursday. MrBeast recently provided a fleshed-out schedule of its future episodes, including their respective release dates, as part of an X post.
